Sustainability and Social Responsibility

By taking an active role in the community, Fornebuporten aims to create value for the people who live and work in the area. To contribute to the local community, Fornebuporten's goal is to make facilities and outdoor spaces accessible and open for everyone to use and enjoy.

Fornebuporten supports local sports clubs and athletic events and is the main sponsor of Snarøya Sportsklubb and Fornebuløpet.

Fornebuporten seeks to create an environment that is suitable and user-friendly for wheelchair users, people with disabilities, and the visually impaired, ensuring that everyone experiences satisfactory access to the various areas. Inclusive design is, therefore, carefully considered.

Infrastructure and Public
Transport Fornebuporten aims to encourage and participate in discussions related to infrastructure and transportation to reduce the carbon footprint. Efforts to promote the use of public transport as well as cycling to and from work are an ongoing process.

Fornebuporten is actively participating with Bærum Municipality, Smart City, Ruter, and other Fornebu-based businesses in a project focused on integrated transportation solutions in Fornebu. The aim is to improve and enhance the public transport options currently available.
